Picnic Warm-up

5:00-9:00 p.m., but come and stay as you please.

Very casual. Everyone is welcome.

There will be a buffet of pizza, chicken wings and salad available and a cash bar.

We are renting Roma's private party room for the occasion. They are accepting only a single payment for the buffet, so Barry has committed to settling up for everyone at the end of the evening. To make this easier on all concerned, we ask that you bring cash to reimburse Barry if you will be taking advantage of the buffet. Roma will run individual tabs for alcoholic beverage and will accept credit cards for payment of those tabs.  

The charge for: 

• the buffet is $20 (food + 7% tax + 20% tip) - pay Barry in cash, please. 

• Soft drinks - $2.75 with free refills - pay Barry in cash, please. 

• Beer - Domestic $3.75 and up, Imports and IPAs $5.00 and up

• Wine - $7.75 and up

• Well drinks - $4.00 and up, top shelf - $5.00 and up

There is a separate entrance to the party room. Please look for signs on the outside of the building.

Friends from the classes of 1971, 1972, 1974 and 1975 are invited to join us. We intend to make this an annual event, so plan ahead for next year!

The picnic is BYOE

Bring Your Own Everything. Bring whatever you normally bring to a picnic - Frisbees, kickball, corn hole, or just some great stories of what you've been up to and where you hurt. 

As far as food goes, Aviva Brick Oven's Food Truck will be available all day, or you are welcome to

- bring your own picnic lunch, or

- make arrangements with a group of friends to each make a dish to share, or

- order from Door Dash, or 

- run across the road to OTB At The Boathouse restaurant, or

- mooch.

There is a kitchen available with stove, oven and refrigerator.

Alcohol may be consumed but not sold. Glass containers are forbidden.

(so bring your beer in cans, your wine in boxes and your hard stuff in flasks)

There is a big parking lot adjacent to the Rose Barn. The area is flat and Handicapped Accessible, so no excuses! There are picnic tables inside and out. If the weather is nice, you might want to bring a camp chair - the outdoor seating is limited.

There is no charge to attend the picnic. The rental on the Rose Barn, the alcoholic beverage permit, the permit for the band and the permit  for the food truck cost about $400. If you have a few extra bucks, please consider dropping a couple in the jar at the picnic to help cover these costs.

We received a lot of inquiries from classmates looking for fellow graduates, some we could help, some not. We are changing the "Missing" page to "Looking For...". The instructions for checking the North Allegheny Alumni Database are there. Also, if you leave your name, who you are looking for, and your email address, we'll post it. Maybe someone in the class knows how they can be reached.
